Spaciousness

While Edmunds criticizes the Macan for its small backseat and its small cargo hold, the auto critic has nothing but praise for the F-PACE. The Jaguar offers a bigger second row, one worthy of a luxury vehicle. It also has a bigger cargo hold, making sure you can bring along your luggage for four. Both have split-fold seats, but the-F-PACE leaves you with more room when the seats are folded. Also, only the F-PACE has a reversible cargo floor, allowing you to choose between carpet and an easy-clean surface.

Performance

You'll enjoy world-class handling and plenty of pickup behind the wheel of the F-PACE. The base editions of the Jaguar F-PACE and the Porsche Macan have the same 340 horsepower and offer comparable fuel economy. Both offer standard all-wheel drive and a stop-start fuel-saver system. The Macan powertrain delivers slightly more torque. Yet, when it comes to dynamic driving, Edmunds writes that the F-PACE matches the Macan. Furthermore, only the F-PACE is offering a diesel edition. This smart turbo gets the best fuel economy of the bunch. It also delivers a high level of torque thanks to its turbo engine. Of course, diesels are known for their greater durability, giving the F-PACE another plus in its column.
