The Choice is Yours
When considering the 2020 Jaguar lineup, the 2020 XE and the 2020 XF are two standout contenders.
In one corner sits the 2020 Jaguar XE, first introduced in 2017 and designed to be an entry-level luxury vehicle capable of fine performance. In the other corner rests the 2020 Jaguar XF, which bears a striking resemblance to the XE from the outside but proves to be roomier on the inside. From there, the tale of these two vehicles starts to look extremely similar: both sport two turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines under the hood, both hit 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque, and both come with either rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. And to complicate matters further, both vehicles look like they could be driven in a James Bond movie or one of those romantic films set in a countryside European villa.
All of which begs the question: which vehicle is right for you? If you want to know more about the 2020 XE or XF, don’t forget to check with the professionals. The friendly and knowledgeable staff at Jaguar St. Petersburg can help you decide whether the 2020 Jaguar XE is better for you than the 2020 Jaguar XF, or the other way around.

Superior Performance
As stated above, these two vehicles are practically identical twins when it comes to under-the-hood performance. Both the 2020 XE and 2020 XF sport a standard 2.0L 4-cylinder engine capable of producing 247 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. So regardless of which vehicle the driver prefers, the ride will be peppy and exhilarating.
Digging deeper, the 2020 Jaguar XE comes with an 8-speed automatic transmission, paddle shifters, and available rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive. The 2020 XE also features the SportShift Selector for manual shift changes. In terms of fuel economy, drivers can expect 25 mpg in the city, 34 on the highway, and 28 combined.
With the 2020 Jaguar XF, rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive can also apply to the vehicle. Its engine manages 25 mpg city, 34 highway, and 28 combined with RWD, although the AWD option can produce numbers of 23/33/27. In other words, both vehicles will provide an awesome ride with similar returns. So which one looks better?
Luxurious Appearance
On the outside, both vehicles offer a sporty and sleek exterior, as demanded of anything made by Jaguar.
The 2020 XF serves as the slightly larger model of the two vehicles, measuring 195 inches long and 82.3 inches wide compared to the 184.2-inch long, 81.7-inch wide 2020 Jaguar XE. The XF also stands a bit taller, its 57.4 inches just enough to eclipse the XE’s 56.1-inch height. The only major difference in statistics rests with the wheelbase diameter, where the XF measures 116.5 inches compared to the XE’s 111.6 inches.
Being the slightly larger model affords the 2020 Jaguar XF more interior space, too, which gets displayed best with a trunk that holds up to 19.1 cubic feet. Drivers that take advantage of the XF’s Sportbrake Wagon can increase the cargo space up to 69.7 cubic feet. By comparison, the more compact 2020 Jaguar XE sedan offers 14.5 cubic feet.
It may only be about 5 cubic feet of difference between the two sedans, but depending on the driver, it may be the deciding factor between the two vehicles.
Outstanding Features
When it comes to features, once again the 2020 Jaguar XE and 2020 Jaguar XF prove to be evenly matched. Both come standard with simulated leather upholstery, keyless ignition/entry, dual-zone automatic climate control, and a 10-inch InControl® Touch Pro™ infotainment display.
The infotainment systems on both vehicles also feature Apple CarPlay® and Android™ Auto as standard, not to mention options for a heated steering wheel, heated front/rear seats, USB port, and Bluetooth® capability. However, the 2020 Jaguar XF gets parking sensors while the 2020 Jaguar XE gets simple-operation climate controls.
Finally, the 2020 Jaguar XE sports a sound system with HD Radio™, lane keep assist with driver condition monitor, a power glass open/close moonroof, and 12-way power front seats. On the other side, the 2020 Jaguar XF interior has a standard 380-watt audio system, emergency brake assist, moonroof, and 10-way power front seats.
Ultimately, the number of ways a power seat can move could be the big factor, since both vehicles have a moonroof.
